Child Safety Standards
Last updated: July 14, 2026
LoveJan is a dating app for adults. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page sets out our published standards against CSAE, in line with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and applicable law. Protecting children is a non-negotiable condition of using LoveJan.
Strictly 18+ — no minors
- LoveJan is available only to people 18 years of age or older. This age minimum is enforced at signup for every territory.
- Every member must pass a one-time live-selfie identity check before they can appear in the app or message anyone. This verification-first design is a core safeguard that makes it substantially harder for minors — or anyone misrepresenting their identity — to use the service.
- If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, or that someone has misrepresented their age, we remove the account promptly and preserve relevant information as required by law.
Prohibited content and conduct
The following are strictly forbidden on LoveJan and will result in immediate removal and a permanent ban:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any image, video, or depiction that sexualizes a minor, whether real, drawn, or AI-generated.
- Sexualization of, or sexual interest in, minors in any form, including text, profile content, or messages.
- Grooming, solicitation, enticement, or any attempt to contact, meet, or obtain sexual content from a minor.
- Sharing, requesting, or linking to CSAM, or directing users to it off-platform.
- Any other content or behavior that endangers or exploits a child.
How to report
- In the app: every profile and conversation includes a Report and Block control. Use it to flag any content or behavior that concerns you, including anything involving a minor or suspected CSAE. Reports reach our safety team.
- By email: you can also report child-safety concerns directly to support@lovejan.app. This is our designated point of contact for CSAE matters, monitored by a person able to speak to our prevention practices and compliance.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
How we respond
- We review reports promptly and act on credible reports of CSAE without delay.
- We remove offending content and permanently ban the responsible accounts.
- We preserve relevant account data and evidence as required to support investigations.
- Where we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material, we report it to the relevant authorities, including the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by U.S. law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A), and cooperate with law enforcement and analogous authorities in other jurisdictions.
Legal compliance
LoveJan complies with all applicable child-safety laws in the jurisdictions where it operates, including mandatory-reporting obligations. We keep these standards current as laws and platform requirements evolve.
