Who we are

LoveJan is a dating app for the Persian and Iranian community, on iPhone and Android. It is made by LoveJan, Inc., founded in 2026 by Behnood Afshari Neshat, an Iranian-American founder in Southern California. LoveJan launched in Los Angeles and Orange County, and everyone is welcome to join. There is also a limited web preview; the web access guide explains what it currently supports.

How verification works — and its limits

Profiles need verification approval to appear in Discover. The standard path compares a selfie taken in the app with your profile photos; members can request human review instead, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Verification is a profile check, not a guarantee. Neither route guarantees identity or who controls an account, and profile verification is not proof of age. It cannot tell you whether someone is honest about being single, about what they want, or about money.

Safety & reporting

Every profile and conversation includes a Report and Block control in the app, and reports reach our safety team.

LoveJan is strictly 18+. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account; deletion is immediate and irreversible, and it removes your profile, photos, matches, messages and your verification faceprint, as our Privacy Policy describes.

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Our Child Safety Standards explain how to report a concern and how we respond; if a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
